Perayaan HUT sekolah menjadi kegiatan rutin dilaksanakan tiap tahun. SMK Negeri 2 Palu merayakan HUT yang ke – 58, kegiatan inidilaksanakan pada tanggal 8 Mei 2024. Perayaan HUT ini di isi dengan berbagai kegiatan diantaranya adalah jalan santai serta bakti sosial yang bertempat di lapangan SMK Negeri 2 Palu.
Kegiatan jalan santai terserbut dipimpin langsung oleh bapak kepala sekolah Dr. Loddy Surentu, S.Pd., MM , harapan kegiatan HUT tersebut diharapkan dapat meningkatkan rasa solidaritas dan kreativitas seluruh warga sekolah, baik peserta didik , guru beserta staf serta menjadikan SMK Negeri 2 Palu menjadi semakin berakhlak mulia, berprestasi, inovatif, berbudaya, dan berwawasan lingkungan.
